Review of Spy (2015) by Isla B — 20 Oct 2017
I am mixed on Melissa McCarthy, but she's pretty good here in this James Bond spoof. There are plenty of laughs, not just from McCarthy but the supporting characters. She has good back and forth banter with Rose Byrne and Jason Statham.
What kept me from liking it more is I felt like I started to lose interest in the last 20-30 minutes. I don't know if it was too long, or just too many twists and turns, but it sputters to the finish a bit.
Still, it's entertaining and funny so it's worth checking out, although if you see it on cable you'll miss some of the humor.
