Review of Spy (2015) by Matthew K — 04 Oct 2015

I was a little skeptical about this movie when it was first coming out. I was expecting it to be a hit-and-miss movie, loaded with horrible jokes and a few funny ones.

I'm glad to say that this was not the case. This movie had a perfect cast - everyone fit their characters perfectly. The jokes were rapid-fire, getting a new joke every 10-20 seconds. Suprisingly, almost all of their jokes were hits. Maybe it was because the audience of the theater I went to laughed at parts that weren't even supposed to be jokes, especially the guy sitting next to me (seriously - if your laugh sounds like a dying goat, please don't watch a comedy at the movie theaters). Nonetheless, the movie was filled with laugh-out-loud moments, the story was entertaining, and the cast played their parts very well..

This is easily a 5-star film for me. Even though the story was a bit weak, the constant jokes made it incredibly entertaining.
