Review of Spread (2009) by Michael V — 18 Aug 2011
I always enjoy when actors take a project that is outside of their usual areas. You'll usually find a side to them you haven't seen before. And it showed well here. Spread has a lot more to offer than at first glance.
A great character study and the differences between lust and love and the greed of the perfect lifestyle. The sex scenes are shown quite interesting. They are quick. Mostly getting the same feeling that everybody is just a lay to him.
Until the beauitful Margarita Levieva comes along and things take a different tone. Gentler, sweeter. Very well crafted I have to say. The film as a whole is an interesting story and well acted with a good script and ideas.
The ending its self is a very well done. A very final conclusion to it. The film manages to convey what it is trying to say and in a way that is not boring or repetitive.
