Review of Spotlight (2015) by Logan T — 06 Mar 2016
The film intelligently depicts the procedures of investigative journalism with impressively restrained direction evoking a "documented" realism, but the story and characters brilliantly unfold on screen like a suspenseful thriller.
The performances from Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams stand out the most, with great conviction and passion fully embodying their emotions. Finally, I have to say that John Slattery's blunt, witty humor makes just about everything better.
