Review of Spotlight (2015) by Lonnie L — 30 Jun 2016
Spotlight should have been a documentary because it does not play like your typical film. There is so much exposition; and that's about it. It's a film that explains how the Catholic church got away with abuse.
There are no real characters in this movie. It is well acted, but I don't know anything more about who these people are other then what they tell us about where to look next, who to check out, etc.
The subject matter is interesting, but engaging it definitely is not. It's a bore.
