"Spotlight" is a massively gripping film about the true bombshell investigation of the Archdiocese of Boston and the Catholic Church and their efforts to cover up the abuse by priests. Based on true events, a select group of reporters called Spotlight from the Boston Globe do the unthinkable: take on the oldest institution in the world. It is shocking how much power the Church has over the United States legal system and it is on full display here.

Led by an all-star ensemble that compliments one another so well, "Spotlight" not only does a phenomenal job sticking to true events, but it handles the facts with such delicacy and delivers them slowly and appropriately as you learn how important it is for journalists to gather everything before releasing the information; instead of trying to be the first to the story and reporting it wrongly.

However, the most important thing about "Spotlight" is that it does justice for its real-life victims and brings the much needed attention to the continuous abuse controversies with the Church.
