Review of Spooks: The Greater Good (2015) by Warwick B — 12 May 2015
Spooks is back in this TV to film adaptation, a fast moving, tense, intelligently plotted espionage drama.
When a terrorist escapes custody, Harry Pearce (Peter Firth), MI5's head of counter intelligence, is blamed. Discredited, Pearce goes off grid and enlists the help of decommissioned agent Will Crombie (Kit Harington), to hunt down the terrorist, in the process discovering a deadly conspiracy.
Whilst this spin off of the popular, long running, unbelievably successful BBC spy series won't disappoint Spooks devotees, it's just a glorified TV show that could have quite easily filled the Christmas schedules as a one-off special.
