Review of Spooks: The Greater Good (2015) by Margarita S — 10 Aug 2018

This film steers away from standard action genre conventions. It doesn't move from one heart-pounding fight scene or car chase to the next. Rather, it aims for a more serious, dramatic style with plenty of dialogue and meatier storyline.

While it can certainly still be classified as an action film, it's a slower burn. There are plenty of twists and turns and a clearly overarching theme (doing good vs. doing well), which keeps it moving, though it leans toward being oversentimental and cliché at times.
