When I was a little kid, this movie scared the daylights out of me. This movie is certainly spooky in more ways than one.

A powerful and evil sorcerer who resides in the house of the spookies has been luring in victims for many years, forcing them to undergo horrible deaths in an effort to raise his bride from the dead. When the cast arrives at the house, the sorcerer knows that, with their souls, he will finally have enough in his possession to bring his wife back.

The sorcerer Pierre kicks off his literal chess game by turning one of the white pawns to his dark side, before Carol helps him take care of the others with a rather bizarre Ouija board. One by one, the cast is killed off by reptilian creatures, zombies, man-eating-earth, the grim reaper, and a scary spider lady.

All-around, the movie is a bit cheesy, and the plot fairly basic, but the special effects are fairly good given the time of the film's making, and the soundtrack music would give many people the creeps. The whole gang of main characters also has one that falls into every possible horror movie stereotype.

Any horror fanatic who has yet to see this should give it a spin, even if it is just for kicks.
