Review of spOILed (2011) by Ben W — 11 Mar 2012
Saw a screening w/ the director doing a Q& A after. He claims and advertsies the oil companies don't like this film but the only reason I can see for that is it doesn't include ALL the points they'd like to make.
The film does establish and emphasize the importance and urgency of the oil issue but basically briefly examines and shoots down alternatives and leaves us with the idea that the only near-term is to let the oil companies run free and "drill, baby, drill", everywhere, ASAP.
And it's sexist to boot.
