Review of Split (2017) by Yoonki C — 07 May 2017
Split, is the newest M. Night Shyamalan film. When we hear M. Night's name on a movie, we expect to be a bad and another disappointing film delivered by his as his career in recent years has been horrible.
However, Split is his comeback that he proves himself to be a master at the genre of thriller. The acting, especially from James McAvoy, is unbelievably amazing and phenomenal. He is absolutely courageous in the film as he commits and engages fully into the role he is given.
Mostly, the gripping tension leads from the environmental conditions this film takes place. Sometimes, it lacks some gripping thriller and the beginning dialogue lacks. However, every act improves over then and dives into a tension-filled finale with an unexpected ending twist that we all come to expect in a Shyamalan film.
This is an origin of a super villain which is portrayed impressively. Split is M. Night's best film since Signs and in recent years.
