Review of Split (2017) by Leelustig — 31 Jan 2017

Not a bad film by any means, but also not amazing in any way. If you've never heard of Altered States or the Manhunter/Red Dragon films, this will probably feel fresh. Unfortunately for experienced moviegoers this probably won't feel all that new.

Easily Shyamalan's best film in over 10 years but that isn't saying much. Great themes, exceptional acting from McAvoy and Taylor-Joy, and top notch cinematography are what save this film. Oh, and there is a twist to end all twists.

I have to give credit to that.
