Review of Splendor in the Grass (1961) by Ana L — 06 Apr 2010
This surprised me due to its unusual storyline. A teenage romance of the 1920s that goes wrong.. horribly wrong. I love Elia Kazan's work, but he completely failed to convince me of the era - the film might as well have been set in the 1960s.
But Natalie Wood is too gorgeous to stop watching. Engaging and sad.
