Review of Splendor in the Grass (1961) by Roy G — 02 Oct 2010
I am 40 years old and have been watching "Real Movies" since I was 7 years old. I saw 1976s remake of A Star is Born and I really liked it. Anyhow I believe Splendor in the grass was way before its time.
I like the look and feel of all the shots in the movie. The 20s almost roaring out of the screen. Natalie Wood( Deanie) seems to be saying more in the "bathtub" scene then I noticed the 7 or 8 other times I saw the movie.
I have been in love this way when I was 17, and I am an artist so I think I can see through what was cencored out.
