Review of Spite Marriage (1929) by Hunter D — 28 Feb 2008
While it's a funny gag-filled Keaton comedy, this is where you can really see MGM starting to tighten their grip on Keaton's creative freedom. The gags are less daring, and while I was smiling and chuckling a bit, I never busted a gut like I did while watching 'The Cameraman'.
His best work was behind him at this point.
