Review of Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) by Taylor R — 25 Oct 2008
I'm telling you right now, this movie would have been way better if not for all those crappy Bryan Adams songs all the way through it.
Anyway, aside from that it's a good kids movie that any child facinated with horses should enjoy. I was really charmed by the relationship between the horse and the Indian. The animation kind of bugged me, I think it's best to either do computer animation or hand drawn, mixing the two as this movie does just doesn't look right. Although there is one great looking, exciting sequence involving a train rolling down a mountain. In the end the ultra gooey innocence gets to be a little much for someone over eight, but as a kids movie it does quite well.
