Review of Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) by Bobby L — 08 Nov 2009
I loved this movie! Granted, I watched it with my five year old sister. But it just reminded me of how selfish humans are, at least the ones in this movie. It's unlike most cartoon in that their is very little spoken.
They let the animals speak, well, how they 'speak' and use narration throughout, but it's not as much as a normal movie would have. There wasn't anything I would have changed about the movie.
Makes me wish I had more Native American in me and less European...not that either of those things really can make a person more or less compassionate...but it was just interesting to see how two different 'types' of humans have a different perspective on how they treat not only animals and nature, but each other as well.
