This movie is aimed directly at kids yet it's surprisingly moving for adults, and it has a couple of thrilling sequences that'll keep older kids entertained. But Spirit - Stallion of the Cimarron is much more than a kids' movie with thrills and chills.
It's superbly drawn, well-told as a story, and it provides a good ol' message for kids. This isn't anything new or groundbreaking, but it's good-hearted family fare.
