Review of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) by Scienceadvisor — 20 Dec 2021
Massive plot holes, character assassination (Dr. Strange is written as an idiot), contrivances, and character flips for no established reasons, drag this down. It is fun, but vapid. Dr. Strange's power levels has no continuity in this, as he now can causally alter the entire MULTIVERSE, which makes him far more powerful that the entire Infinity Gauntlet (with all the stones).
This means he should be very easily to do anything, yet the plot does not allow that. Also, you need to ignore that Spider-man (at least one of them) gets innocent people killed yet just shrugs it off.
Nice to see that heroes do not blame themselves for reckless behavior. The excuse of many defenders of this movie is that they had "good intentions" and this just shines a light on modern society and it's failure to understand that is not acceptable, especially for a hero.
