Review of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) by Mattyice — 17 Dec 2021
While not perfect (there are a lot of plot conveniences at points and the fan service can be a little overbearing at points), Spider-Man: NWH is a ridiculously fun and emotional film that serves as a great individual story for Tom Holland's Peter Parker as well as a love letter to all things Spider-Man.
All of the performances are spectacular (specifically Holland, Zendaya, Dafoe, and Molina), but one that stood out to me most was Andrew Garfield, who gives it his all as a less confident and seemingly dejected Spider-Man (hilarious and tragic in a meta context).
All the action was really well-executed, the villains are so fun to see again, it does a much better job of balancing comedy and drama than most MCU films, and it was such a special film experience I'm sure to remember and go back to time and time again.
