Review of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) by Dharma — 19 Jan 2019
The best animated film...let me correct that, one of the best film of 2018, is a thrilling, heart breaking film of epic proportion. The fact that it is animated is the icing on the cake: it has an art style that is bold and different, emphasizing that this is literally a comic book that comes to life.
However, such razzle dazzle will all be for nothing without an incredibly solid and engaging story line and characters. The fact that this film has loads of Spider-'men', each having their own arc is an amazing feat.
It has also action set pieces that are incredible, the best in 2018. Literally, the best Spider-man flick since Sam Raimi's saga many years ago.
