Review of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) by Ifrah H — 20 Jan 2019
I absolutely adored this movie!! Watching Miles struggle and watching future Peter help him throughout the process was very intruiguing. The movie captivated my attention the entire time, and not once did I look away for fear I'd miss something.
My only complaint is that Miles went from not being able to use his abilities on command to being a master of them. Progress is usually a lot slower than that in my opinion, so maybe Marvel should've spend a little more time on his progress.
Other than that, the movie was amazing. There were a couple of references and parts of the movie that confused me, but that's because I haven't read the comics and therefore lack some background and context.
Even without knowing the context or reading the comics, the movie was pretty straightforward and easy to follow. The soundtrack shouldn't be overlooked either since it ELEVATED the quality of the movie (get it?).
