Review of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) by Calvin E — 28 Dec 2018
We've seen the webslinger in this particular medium 15 years ago, thanks to the criminally underrated Spider-Man: The New Animated Series that aired on MTV. This expands upon that unique look even more! With Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) stumbling upon a battle between Spider-Man (Chris Pine) and the Green Goblin (Jorma Taccone).
Who demanded to have a promise be kept, for both their sake. The mantle has been carried onto multiple dimensions featuring yet another Spider-Man/ Peter Parker (Jake Johnson) who clumsily yet willingly teaches Miles the ropes to being a true hero.
With the help of Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), Spider-Ham (John Mulaney), Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage) and Peni Parker (Kimiko Glenn) to unite to stop the ruthless Kingpin (Liev Schreiber). Intertwined a colorful web of animation, spot on humor and action sequences with a touching message.
Comes another Spectacular entry to the Spidey mythos.
