Review of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) by Thinker C — 18 Dec 2018
It´s a perfect Spider-Man movie because it´s not a Peter Parker´s or Miles Morales´s Spider-Man story, it´s a Spider-Man story. Into The Spider-Verse is as fun as it is emotional. The message here is that anyone who has the courage to face his/her fears and flaws can be Spider-Man.
We just have to find that inner belief that fits. "It always fits.... eventually" It doesn´t matter who is wearing the mask. Spider-Man isn´t Peter or Miles, but they are Spider-Man. The movie is also about learning to trust yourself.
There´s an impactful scene where Miles sees his father saying "Come on Spider-Man, get up!" or in other words, he sees that his father is believing in Spiderman, even though he didn´t use to believe in Spider-Man.
On that moment the spark inside Miles became a bright fire of hope. He truly became Spider-Man. I could talk endlessly about how great ths movie is visually. The soundtrack is also extremely underrated.
"Destiny" "The Prowler" and "Only One Spider Man" are the ones that for me stand out the most. It´s not only the best Spider-Man movie ever made, it´s also the best movie of 2018.
