Cons.
- Rehashed plot from the 2002 Spider-man film.
- Supposed to be a reboot but no backstory about how he got his power. I think as a high schooler he'll be even more troubled/confused by his new power and Uncle Ben should be in this, not Iron Man.
- Too many gadgets, overly advanced technology ruins the classic Spider-man image. Spider-man that I knew is already advanced without much of technology, because he's not Iron Man. He already got spider senses, ability to cling to most surfaces, super strength/agility, and rapid healing.
- Overly diverse characters doesn't help the story at all. It confuses the viewers. - The jokes aren't funny. The movie begins with a politically correct joke, wth.
- Aunt May supposed to be a classic wise woman who raised Peter with kind words and old time philosophy. This aunt May can't even cook and way too young, she'll probably gonna get another uncle Ben sometime soon.
- Where's uncle Ben again? Why Aunt May never talk about him? Didn't she loved him to death? Oh right this is 2017, she doesn't care about him no more.
- Ain't Peter supposed to be the opposite of Tony Stark in terms of financial, that's why he took that photo journalist job in the first place to help his aunt pay rent. Weird seeing him eating with aunt May in a restaurant so casually. I'd rather see him juggling part time job while also busting crime and school works. He got way too much time on hands.
- His high school best friend is one hell of an annoying guy.
Pros.
- Cool CGI and Visual Effects.
- Iron Man & his driver.
