Tom Holland does really well as Spider-Man.

Micheal Keaton is possibly the best villain in the mcu so far.

I will say there isn't as much action as I'd hope there would be in a Spider-Man movie, but what is there is good and the comedy is great.

The overall plot is coherent and the villains intent is clear, and the Vulture's motivations are relatable. The scope of the film is its best feature. It's not a save the world movie, and that works perfectly for a young Spider-Man just getting his "training wheels".

Speaking of which that's the weakest part of the film is Tony Stark's new influence on the character. Not to say the performance by Downey Jr. is now bad, it just doesn't fit. Spider-Man/ Parker is usually smart enough to make his own suit and gadgets but instead the spider suit basically becomes just another piece of Stark tech.

I would recommend seeing this film and can honestly say I look forward to more Spider-Man in the future.
