I have been a huge fan of Spider-Man, dating all the way back to the Toby Maguire days, so I was a little nervous that my image of Spider-Man being one of my favourite superheroes would be crushed, but "Spider-Man: Homecoming" only added to view on the web-slinger.

Right off the hop, I noticed that the movie takes on a different plot than the other two Spider-Man versions, as this one starts off with Peter Parker already becoming Spider-Man, and Uncle Ben already dead.

Another origin story and I feel like I would've lost my mind, because of how repetitive it would've been, but I'm so happy this movie took on a completely different plot. There wasn't a character in this movie that I didn't like, including Tom Holland (Spider-Man/Peter Parker).

He was exactly what the Spider-Man movies needed, a younger, more naive version of Spider-Man, that almost has more of a deadpool comedy vibe to him, but still able to kick ass. I can honestly say that even though I grew up idolizing Toby Maguire as Spider-Man, Tom Holland knocked it way out of the park, and might even be my favourite out of the 3 that have taken on this role.

Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) makes an appearance in this movie as well, and I really liked how he acted as Spider-Man's guardian/mentor, but didn't get too involved in the plot where this movie started to become an Iron Man movie.

He was in it just the right amount, and gave me just the right fix of Iron Man. I found that this version of Spider-Man was a LOT more laid back than the other two, which were a little more serious, and more of a classic take on superheroes, they fight crime and have only little spurts of humour.

In "Spider-Man: Homecoming", there was humour in literally every scene, which made it feel a lot more like it was going in the Deadpool direction, but never really took it too far with the humour, so that it could stay an action-superhero movie rather than a comedy, which I thought fit perfectly.

Michael Keaton (Adrian Toomes/The Vulture) plays a villain that we haven't seen before in the Spider-Man universe, which is refreshing, and does a really good job of it in the process. He even had his own little origin story, which is really unique for Marvel villains, but I really liked that because it showed you exactly why he is doing what he's doing, and almost mede you sympathize a little for the villain, which is weird but at the same time it's refreshing.

In the end, Spider-Man fans will definitely leave "Spider-Man: Homecoming" satisfied, and it's extremely different approach to Spider-Man is makes it way less repetitive. "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is definitely worth watching.
