Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Anissa C — 13 Jul 2017
I mean, c'mon. How many remakes of Spider-Man can you do ina lifetime? I was like "Lawd, not another one". Especially being partial to the Tobey Maguire films. However, after seeing and hearing the buzz, I had to check it out for myself and was very pleasantly surprised! I think Tobey is still my all-time favorite portrayal, but Homecoming was a fresh spin on a very familiar story.
Tom Holland was great in the role as the pesky kid wanting to do too much and I LOVED his best friend, Ned (played by Jacob Batalon). Michael Keaton was great too and thought the twist was great! He was a very relatable villian.
Who hasn't been faced with some dilemma where a single choice can forever change your life. Very family friendly with some great, uplifting themes which I think every kid needs to see. Anywho, I liked it and thought it was very well done and well written.
Two Thumbs Up! (:
