Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Jack C — 17 Jul 2017
Inarguably one of the greatest films within the MCU (and superhero films in general), Spider-Man: Homecoming delivers an impactful and stunning premise of having to conquer one's ego without letting it get in the way of life.
The character arc is one that is relatively new to the table, given the fact that our titular hero is but a teenager, making it much harder to deal with being two people in one body. Our villain's intentions and the reasoning behind them is much different in comparison to previous MCU films.
Because of this, it is much easier to understand him while trying to guess at his every move throughout the film. The supporting cast is spot on, not to mention the humor rivals that of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
2. Its spectacle is stunning, and its ideas are thoughtful and in-depth. All in all, Marvel has done it again and fans look forward to what the studio has in store for the web-slinging acrobat.
