Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Neil G — 08 Jul 2017
Favorite lines:
30 seconds into the movie:
"we were playing cowboys and Indians".
"Actually it's native Americans" (snide face).
Talking to a teacher about not visiting the Washington Monument.
"Why aren't you going up to visit the monument with the rest of class?".
"Because it was built by slaves".
Teacher later in movie.
"Protesting is patriotic".
This movie is a social justice warriors dream and the enemy of the America. Why we keep teaching people to hate our past is way beyond anyone's understanding...we fought and won in two world wars and a civil war...we paid a price for our beliefs to shape this future and the only thing kids know is slavery existed at one point and that is bad.
How about some patriotism mixed in with the self hate of the greatest civilization in history? Name one better and then move there if you disagree. Hypocrite.
