Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Dana H — 08 Jul 2017
I overhead "true form Spiderman!" as I was leaving the theater. That's a good thing right? 15 years old, Tony Stark's intern, how do you screw THAT up??!!! Peter Parker manages to do it.
Meeting both Vulture AND Shocker is not how you want to cut your teeth as a junior crime fighter. Obvious political underpinnings from the SJWs in the crowd. Fortunately, not from Parker. I would have ripped the movie if it had gotten any worse.
Disney/Marvel just can't help itself so--be warned (Washington Monument is deplorable?). I like this Peter Parker, a guy who can do what Toby McGuire would not have pulled off (as 15 year olds). I don't want to say more other than--DON'T stay after the FIRST after-credits vignette.
The second vignette after all credits are done is a joke on the audience. Don't stick around for it. Nobody likes their time wasted, I am chiefest among that crowd. Enjoy the flick, I did.
