Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Dan J — 04 Jul 2017
This is very different spider man. Pretty good one, but nothing you have seen before. No cliche spiderman scenarios and uncle Ben and all of that. No. This is very light hearted, funny movie, that looks like Avengers 2 spin-off. Seriously. Am I the only one who noticed that they took the idea of villains from Agents of SHIELD Marvel TV show seires? I'll let that pass because it was obvious that all of space alien junk that was left after Avengers 1 could have got into bad hands.
Also, there are several references to other Spider man movies, but remember, this is A MARVEL movie. Surprisingly, you see very few Avengers in the whole movie and I am guessing the timeline is as follows, events happen right after Doctor Strange.
There are some bits of the movie where you go like "but this is not Iron Man I am watching...I just want Spider man and his suit" moments....which I did not like much. But I really liked the beginning of the movie, first 1:30 hours, but later on....it slows down, ending was....not interesting. But...there is ONE good plot twist! So, don't get spoiled. Villain is very good too.
ALSO: There are 2 post-credit scenes, and last one is very different from ANY other marvel movie.
