Review of Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) by Lamontraymond — 02 Jul 2019
It's a charming, fun film until the latter third rolls around and then they feel compelled to do the BORING action movie nonsense, when just about everyone in the theater tunes out - especially in a movie like this one in which holograms take the place of real people.
Ugh. I will say that Holland and Zendaya are both amazing - their young chemistry is leagues better than anything done by Tobey or Andrew Garfield. And I'll say that the use of three songs - "Back in Black", "Vacation" (Go Go's), and "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" are perfectly placed.
I also want to say that the Nick Fury sequences are fun, and the Aunt May stuff is awesome. So in the future, make MOST of the movie about human beings, and much less about the big, boring CGI fights.
