Review of Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) by Moviemitch96 — 02 Jul 2019
I was really interested to see where things would go from here after 'Endgame', so I may have set my expectations a bit high on this one, but I found this one rather disappointing in some regards, in comparison to both 'Endgame' and 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'.
The story felt lacking, redundant, and uninspired, character development was rather weak (especially with Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio unfortunately), and just a pretty underwhelming feeling was all that was left for me when all was said and done.
Even a couple interesting post-credit scenes weren't quite enough to save most of it for me. The biggest plus I can give this is for Tom Holland (who's still far and out my fav Spider-Man thus far), but other than that, I mostly found this to be a forgettable and not so worthy follow-up to 'Endgame', and honestly one of the weaker MCU movies in recent memory for me.
