I didn't get the uplifting feeling of a funny/quippy Spidey. It was still fun to watch though. They payed nice homage to the comic books and IMO the old Spider-Man 2 game that was on the PS2.
Without spoiling you'll understand what I mean if you've played the game and seen this movie.
