I feel like this is very hard to say which one is better because I feel like I don't have any major complaints about either one just some things are done just/about as well as the first: The character of Miles Morales, the sound/music, the voice acting, the fan service/references, the villain, etc.

The originality/freshness of it is something to mention because Into the Spider-verse brought all these things to the table I still do find it amazing that it was able to feel original and fresh at all because Spider-verse brought so many things to the table but this film and the previous film are perfect at taking tropes from Spider-man stories and turning them on their head/examining them to make these films feel unique and you could make the case that both of these films are parodies of the Spider-man and the superhero genre as a whole but it's hard to call them that because they are just so respectful to both of those things and whenever they need to be serious they are serious and when they need to be goofy they are goofy but I feel like this was one of those aspects of the first film that was next to impossible to top since the first one was just so amazing at it and the fact that it even feels original/fresh at all is an accomplishment.

Some are done even better even though they weren't problems with the first. These elements just topped the greatest of the same elements of the first which is a challenging feat. The animation was outstanding at its worst and this is easily one of if not the greatest animations (As in animated visuals) in film, (even though the original’s animation was also outstanding.

) the humor, the fight scenes, Spider-Gwen, etc. And some are done slightly worse though that's not because it's bad and more that it's not as good as what some of the first did: I do have mixed feelings on this film's cliffhanger ending while the original's ending was perfect but this cliffhanger is interesting because I do think I will either grow to like or dislike the cliffhanger more once if the next film depends on how they follow through with it and usually with cliffhangers you know what to feel without having to watch the next installment.

Though I feel I have to give the film praise for its twist at the end. Also, I feel like I didn't know where to put this category but about half of this movie is exposition and no one is talking about it since it delivers it so well that no one notices how much exposition there was.

Also when I started to see some of the advertisements for this film and understand what the story would be my main worry was the fact that I thought it might fall into the trap of forgetting the fact of "It's a bad idea to go outside of your universe.

" But thankfully they were able to explain that away by people being able to wear devices that keep them from glitching out (and eventually dying if they stay in another dimension for too long) while they are in another dimension.

BTW I do feel like Peter B. Parker and his story were what elevated that film because it was just the perfect example of someone who hit rock bottom, what happens when we're past our prime and learning to rise through other people helping us rise.

While I feel like the thing that elevated this film was Spider-Gwen who lost her best friend and that makes it so that her father hates Spider-Gwen without knowing that it is her daughter and then isn't able to see the only friend that she made and when her father discovers her identity he still tries to arrest her so she is completely alone and I feel like this is a great example of what happens when someone feels isolated and alone because she immediately goes to this shady organization that is run by Spider-man 2099 and then once she reunited with Miles she doesn't know how to feel because know she doesn't feel alone anyone because she is with him but she also knows that she can't be with him because he is supposed to be kept out of this organization that she is a part of.

Then she and this shady organization gets proven right with Miles saving the security officer which makes the entire universe start to get destroyed because of it. Then once the person who is alone finds shady people to be with once they realize how bad these people are with letting innocent people die, hunting down Miles because they are so devoted to their belief that all canon events need to play out and also that by working with Spider-man 2099's army she betrayed her one true friend in Miles Morales.

She then realizes that while she may be alone this isn't the right place to be so she then gets sent back to her dimension and then meets back with her father who she was able to connect with again because he felt the loss of his daughter which made him try to make amends with her and regrets what he did she also knows that he quit the police because of his guilt and she also realizes that there is a way to prevent canon events of happening so she tries to save her one true friend while she can.
