Review of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) by Lesterjohn — 04 Jun 2023

What a surprisingly good movie. I'm not into cartoons nor superheros. Superhero stuff goes completely under my radar. But last week I wanted to go to the movies and the local theater was showing only this and Fast and Furious.

I was frustrated that there was nothing "good" and I seriously went into it thinking I was gonna walk out after 30 minutes. I just don't care for animations. But I wanted to go out so I went anyways.

Seriously, I was hooked by the first scene. Something about the animation felt really immersive. And then the story developed and wow it was just so good. When the multiverse started it turned me off for a few seconds (I don't wanna watch a Lego movie) but the story was really interesting and I was really invested.

I don't want to overhype it, it's not the greatest movie of all tim3, but wow it is really good. It hits all the right frequencies. You have to see it for yourself.
