Review of Spider-Man 3 (2007) by Jonas T — 05 Jun 2015
Falls short of the second one which was not just the centrepiece of the original Maguire trilogy but a masterpiece, they should have skipped Venom entirely, Topher Grace was too much of a buffoon to convince as the otherwise essential foil for Spidey.
The highlightwas the "birth"of Sandman. The biggest cliche of the series is the rescuing of Mary Jane and feels tacked on. Valiant try by Raimi to make the most of the script which was faulty to begin with, Raimi´s worst outing yet.
JK Simmons was hilarious as usual though.
