Review of Spider-Man (2002) by Urbanlistener — 16 Apr 2016
One of my favorite movie as a kid and one of my favorite movie today as well. This movie is just pure fun, it is light, funny and does not take itself too seriously. The casting is incredible, Tobey Maguire is the best spiderman to date, he gives an amazing performance and Kristen Dunst is also great as Mary Jane as well as Cliff Robertson as uncle Ben.
Oh and what about J.K Simmons as J Jonah Jameson! He his so funny, a fantastic comic relief to an already fun film. Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin is just perfect, the guy was born to play that role, he has the looks and the personality.
The story is simple, coherent and emotionally rich, the CG is very impressive for 2002. There is not one thing I do not like about this film, everything is just pure comic book spiderman fun.
