Review of Spider-Man (2002) by Jesse M — 14 Aug 2015
A winning establishment of the iconic character, that dazzles the senses and warms the heart as well as proving effortlessly that its own is firmly in the right place. There are flaws yes, but quibbles more than anything.
The visual fx are a hit, but tend to miss in certain places. The villain played deliciously by Dafoe is hindered by his ill-advised mask that squanders his animated features.... not to mention you now have a hero and a villain who's faces are covered.
Overall this is the blockbuster that won our hearts in the summer of 2002... Sorry Star Wars.
