Review of Spider-Man (2002) by Joey T — 25 Jan 2016
To call Spider-Man a great comic book movie is really selling it short: it was a revolution. It painted the way for what comic book movies would continue to try and aspire to be, and yet would never reach its heights.
An excellent cast, wholly realized characters, a clever screenplay, and some excellent direction from Sam Raimi makes Spider-Man arguably the best comic book movie of all time. And surprisingly, it still holds up just as well today as when it first swung into the scene nearly 14 years ago.
