At last a live action fulfilment of one of the most populat comic book heroes of all time worthy of mention. Directed by Sam Raimi, this film trails the beginnings of Peter Parker's life as Spider-Man as he fights off the Green Goblin.
It is a film that undoubtedly carries the mark of Sam Raimi, a filmmaker that has always had a particular style of filmmaking that suited comic book films. With the help of some wit and a sense of humour skilfully mixed into the exciting action sequences, this is a film that somewhat stands out among the countless other superhero films that came before it and after it.
It was also the beginning of quite a satisfactory and fun franchise.
