Review of Spider-Man (2002) by Lasse G — 30 Mar 2016
It's always hard to bring a superhero to the big screen for the first time, especially back in the late 90s, early 2000s, but I think that most people can agree with the fact that Sam Raimi did an excellent job with the lovable webslinger.
He made a movie by using the escense of the comicbooks while including some of his own dark presence. Tobey Maguire is still the definitive Spider-Man for me and he was incredibly belivable as this nerd who turns into a superhero and learns how to be a real hero.
Willem Dafoe is incredibly scary as Green Goblin and that really helps the character to become one of the most iconic screen villains.
