Granted, if anyone were to watch this film now, most would giggle as its dated effects and predictable story. Yet, at the time of its release, Raimi's "Spider-Man" was part of the uprising of caped heroes on the big screen.
This film's sincere heart, likable characters and classic story are but a handful of reasons for why this film has remained a favorite of moviegoers and Marvel fans alike. And let's be honest here: Even after 12 years, this Spidey film is still better than Sony's 2012 remake, "The Amazing Spiderman".
