Review of Spider-Man 2 (2004) by Matt P — 23 Feb 2014

This is the best superhero movie ever made.

I know that's an incredible bold statement, being that there are so many noteworthy mentions. But in my honest opinion, this film tops them all. It had everything, great directing, acting, effects, and heart. This is a rare type of hero movie that really delves deep into the heart of the character, instead of focusing on the bombastic lives they are often portrayed to live. It presents a very grounded and relatable story of inner turmoil and responsibility that everyone can sympathize with. Not to mention that the effects are pretty kick-ass. The fight atop a speeding train wins over the Avengers' city wide brawl any day, in my book!
