Review of Spider-Man 2 (2004) by Casey S — 28 Apr 2016

Spider-man 2 is one of the best superhero movies you will ever watch in your life. Spider-Man 2 not only one of my favorite superhero movies of all time, its also one of my favorite movies period. I could watch this film 100 times and never get tired of it. I loved this movie as a kid and I still love it today.

So we see Peter Parker/Spider-man struggling with his life as Spider-man, which results in getting himself fired from a pizza place, being late for class at a university and being late for a play which his friend Mary Jane is in. Later on in the film, Peter starts losing his powers while a new villian name Dr.Octopus (played by Alfred Molina) plans to destroy half of New York with his fusion power experiment.

Tobey Maguire, Alfred Molina, Kristen Dunst, James Franco and the rest of the cast does really great acting, they really know what to do for their characters that they played. They stay true to the material from the comics. Doctor Octopus is a very entertaining villian and it seems that Alfred Molina was born to play the role. No other actor can be good as Dr.Octopus as Alfred Molina was. I hope Alfred Molina reprises his role in a future spider-man movie.

The action sequences, oh my god, it is awesome. The battle between Spider-man and Dr.Octopus on the train and in an abandoned building is pretty much one of the highlights of this masterpiece. Even 12 years later, it still looks fantastic.

The designs of the costumes were also awesome and who ever designed it , must of knew Spider-man very well, unlike the people who did designs for the other superhero movie that came out the same year (Thats right Catwoman, we're looking at you).

Overall ,Spider-man 2 is a masterpiece, its the best in the series and one of the greatest superhero movies of all time.
