Review of Spider-Man (1977) by Isaac L — 03 Jan 2016
130707: Love hate relationship this one. Some aspects of this film I really like, others I really dislike. The Spider-Man origin has been set for many years. Why mess with it? I think I am such a comic book guy that I have expectations of what Spider-Man's enemies should look like, expectations of how the stories should go.
When those expectations are not met, I don't seem to be happy. I imagine these films can be quite popular with younger generations, many of whom have never read the comic books. I imagine there's a great deal of money to be made catering to these newer folks as opposed to the slowly dwindling older generations.
I like a white lab coat and purple pants. That's the way it should be, but isn't. Enjoyed Stone and Leary as the Stacys. Did not like Garfield as Peter Parker.
