Review of Spider-Man (1977) by Hanif M — 05 Jan 2018
I like this movie but In my opinion its not as good as Spider-man (2002). The casting and the performances were very good.. Andrew Garfield is as good as tobey was in Spider-man one 2002. Emma stone plays the adorable Gwen Stacy incredibly well.
This isnt on knock on Kirsten Dunst but Emma Stone is far better. They have an excellent amount of chemistry and the comedic timing of this movie was impeccable. The Origin story for Peter was very predictable but still Beautifully down nonetheless.
I few things about this movie pissed me off though. With great power comes great responsibility line never gets used and as a result Uncle Ben's death lossing some of its potency. However the development of the character of Peter is more leisurely and more understandable in this film.
The Lizard wasnt a very memorable villian. I wish he was played by the guy who played Curt Connors in the Sam Raime films instead of Rhy's Ifans. That guy had more Charsima. The Visuals were Dazzling but the action scenes werent anything special.
However I enjoyed this movie enough to want to see the sequel.
