Review of Sphere (1998) by Lorne N — 06 Jul 2010
This is very much a book on film. Everything is quite 2 dimensional. There is no added depth that a film usually has.
The plot is unique to say the least. So unique that the viewer really does not know what is happening most of the time. The movie tries to scare but it falls short. It tries to be a mystery but instead confuses.
The only saving grace this film has was allowing the audience to see the main character's voices on helium.
Samuel L. Jackson (Helium voice): Follow the yellow brick road. - classic humor.
