Just so frustrating to have story with such potential, and such stellar cast, get screwed up by such cheesy plot jumps, totally bogus "disaster" threats (fires, burst pressure vessels, sparks-flying-out-of-computers, etc) that magically repair themselves, incredible setup flaws (all the infrastructure installed at the site, including floodlights(!), then the Navy just bails??), novice deep sea divers wandering around at will on the ocean floor, banging on the "alien" hull, etc.

And the overbearing soundtrack. And more explosions. Good grief.
